The Barcolana is a historic international sailing boat regatta held annually in the Gulf of Trieste on the second Sunday in October.
The Barcolana has officially been awarded the Guinness World Record as the largest regatta in the world, thanks to the participation of more than 2,500 boats. The uniqueness of the Barcolana lies in the fact that it unites both professional sailors and ordinary enthusiasts in the competition.
